What we're looking for

Marshmallow Laser Feast is a London based creative studio. Our expertise has earned us a reputation for bold, ambitious and industry-defining works that push boundaries, redefine expectations and excite audiences worldwide. Our work is responsive and spans kinetic sculpture, film, live performance and virtual reality.

We’re looking to recruit a Junior Producer into the team. You will be at the beginning of your producing career with a desire to work at the bleeding edge of immersive storytelling. Someone that enjoys a multi-discipline approach, with a basic understanding of the development and production processes. You will have some experience working across at least one of the following sectors - arts, science, theatre, visitor experiences and technology.

We’re looking for people who are calm and kick-ass in equal measures, with a firm but flexible approach. These will never be project-management-only roles, so we are looking for creative thinkers who have the passion and energy to ensure the work is best in class.

Every project has a unique workflow and pipeline, no two days or projects are ever the same at MLF. We don’t do things by the book, we aren’t constrained by what’s been done before, we push boundaries and give it our all. This way of working is not for everyone but if you are intrigued, excited and feel that MLF vibe in your bones please read on.

Main Responsibilities

The projects you will manage will span the diverse nature of MLF’s business being a blend of our own artworks, government funded innovation and branded commercial projects.

Being a junior role we’d expect you to manage a portfolio of the smaller projects in the organisation, focusing on repeat work and managing some of the touring IP while you gain experience. We also anticipate that on occasions you will assist the senior producers on the larger projects.

You will be comfortable being the pivot point between clients, partners, direction, development and management, supporting the Creative Directors and the company to deliver best possible work.

Day-to-day you will be running a portfolio of 2-4 projects and their associated teams as well as maintaining client relationships; project documentation, budgets, scheduling, solving problems and keeping the projects on track.

The projects will for their most part be produced remotely, with occasional requirements to work from our studio in London or onsite in the UK with the potential for occasional international travel.
